SJS has helped with Business process re-engineering (BPR) projects, analysis and re-design of work-flow/processes within and between enterprise business functions. Our experience tells us, in majority of cases the work-flow and business processes are based on assumptions about technology, people, and organizational goals that may no longer be valid. A business lives in an ever changing environment and the changes may be thrust on us due to market innovation, competition, new or changing regulations etc.

Re-engineering principles for competing priorities meaning quality, time management, and cost:

·         Identify all the processes in an organization and prioritize them in order of redesign urgency.

·         Organize around outcomes, not tasks

·         Integrate information processing work into the real work that produces the information.

·         Treat geographically dispersed resources as though they were centralized.

· Link parallel activities in the work-flow instead of just integrating their results.

· Put the decision point where the work is performed, and build control into the process

· Capture information once and at the source, appropriate data governance organization and effective data stewardship processes
